The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process where those interested in our Catholic faith come to explore “What Catholics believe”, and seek to discover if our tradition might help them grow closer to God. It is a time of inquiry and reflection; a time of education and formation. 

The process is open to all adult parishioners; those who have been baptized into another Christian Church, and those who have never been baptized.   It begins with a general overview about the faith of the Catholic Church, and as the year goes on, offers a deeper reflection and education on those areas of our Christian faith which are specifically “Catholic.” 

Our process this year will be lead by Fr. Tom, and will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:15pm.  Each week, Fr. Tom will offer a presentation on a belief or tradition of the Catholic Church, followed by group discussion and prayer.  

All parishioners are invited to take part in our process this year. For some, it will be their first introduction to our Catholic tradition.  For others, RCIA will provide an “updating” of their faith.  Each week, the topic to be discussed will be advertised in the bulletin.  Those new to the Catholic faith are encouraged to attend all of the sessions.  Other parishioners are welcome to attend those sessions which are of greater interest to them.  All are welcome!

The RCIA process offers a variety of opportunities for parishioners to be involved, from providing refreshments on an occasional basis, to attending the sessions seeking an “update” in your faith, to acting as an active member of the team.
