The 60+ Ministry coordinates a wide variety of events and opportunities for parishioners aged 60 and over to worship, serve, learn, and connect. We invite you to consider participating, and welcome your suggestions for programs, events, and services that you would like to see offered in the future.

Faithful Citizenship Social Action Committee

Faithful Citizenship educates and advocates on issues of peace, justice, and human rights in our community and world. Past topics have included supporting education initiatives, ending human trafficking, immigration reform, Medicaid expansion, hunger and homelessness, poverty, and our El Salvador mission. Faithful Citizenship also sponsors St. Dominic’s Fair Trade Coffee Sales at each Coffee & Donut Sunday (typically the first Sunday of the month). We have Fair Trade coffee, tea, and chocolates available for sale. Proceeds benefit our El Salvador Mission Program. Faithful Citizenship meets on the second Monday of each month at 7pm in St. Dominic School’s small meeting room. New members are always welcome. I think anyone who resists happiness should try to do the opposite. Meaning, they would accept happiness. I say this because I think happiness is best served as accepted. If I said otherwise I would, in essence, be resisting happiness myself. Which is completely opposite of what I want. And kind of goes back to my first comment about people who resist should do the opposite.
