St. Dominic offers a wide variety of programs designed to deepen the spiritual lives of those who participate. Discover what it means to be Catholic. Develop your understanding of God and your faith. Start your children on their own faith journeys.

St. Dominic School

St. Dominic School is a fully accredited Catholic, co-educational elementary school for students in grades Kindergarten through eight.  Here, you will discover an environment rich in opportunity, diversity, friendship, and faith.  Our mission is to educate and inspire students to be competent, confident, compassionate leaders through love of God, service to others, and a challenging, innovative academic curriculum.

Parish School of Religion (PSR) - Sunday School

Recognizing that parents are the first educators of children in the faith, the goal of St. Dominic’s parish school of religion (PSR) is to foster a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is informed by the Catholic faith and nurtured by the members of the parish.  Striving to plant seeds of faith that will inspire the children’s faith development, weekly PSR classes accompany children through the elementary grades K-6. PSR classes are held in the school building between Masses each Sunday.  See the calendar for more details. For more information about this, please contact Liz Woconish, Director of Religious Education at lwoconish@stdominicschool.net or 216-658-3672.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori approach to the religious formation of children.  Children gather in an "atrium," a room prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful materials that they use in a hands-on approach to learning more about the love of Jesus, the Good Shepherd.   At St. Dominic, parents may choose from a  Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning atrium session for their 3-4 year-olds and 5 year-olds not yet in kindergarten. For more information about this Montessori approach at St. Dominic, please watch CGS coordinator, Kara Verdi’s video, visit the national website, or contact Kara at 216-561-4400 or kverdi@stdominicchurch.net.
