Winter Sowing Sponsored by Creation Care Team

Are you ready to beat the winter blues and start gardening?  Please join members of the Saint Dominic Creation Care Team and special guest Nick Fletcher, local teacher and native plant expert, for a hands-on Winter Sowing Workshop that will be fun for the whole family! Learn about the environmental benefits of native gardens, how to incorporate native plants into your home landscape, and the process of winter sowing. At the workshop, you'll select native plants appropriate for the conditions of your yard, and start the seeds in jugs. We'll also discuss the Saint Dominic native garden to be planted in the spring, and begin sowing seeds for that project. Please save clear, washed gallon jugs from milk or water, and bring them with you to the workshop. Also, consider bringing a tarp or flattened cardboard to lay down in your vehicle beneath the jugs that you will transport home. Extra jugs will be available for those who need them.
