Medical Mission Trips

These week-long mission trips (usually Saturday-Saturday) include four days of working medical brigades during which we joyfully screen and treat roughly 1.000 patients.  We also visit local homes, schools, and communities where we explore and learn the culture, customs, and rich traditions of the Salvadoran people.

The cost of the Medical Trip is $2,000, and includes your airfare, hotel, meals, ground transportation, translators, and programming fee.  The cost does not include incidentals, adult beverages, souvenirs, or tips.  Pastoral Associate, Tim Sokal, will be leading this medical delegation.

Teen Mission Trips

These trips (usually Sunday-Friday) are geared to rising 11th & 12th grade high school students as it features joint activities between St. Dominic and Santo Domingo teenage high school students.  Some "holy encounters" include celebrating a beachside prayer service, learning about the lives of other young people, and visiting Santo Domingo High School, other schools in the municipality, and homes.  We co-host a children's festival for Santo Domingo students and also tour the Sacred Sites of the Salvadoran Martyrs.

The cost of the Teen Trips is $1,500, which includes your airfare, hotel, meals, ground transportation, translators, and programming fee.  The cost does not include incidentals, extra snacks, souvenirs, or tips.  Fr. Tom & the Youth Minister lead these trips.

ESSOC Sponsor Mission Trip

St. Dominic's Educational Scholarships for Students of Chilitupan (ESSOC) College Scholarship Program provides full tuition scholarships for deserving students from our sister parish, Santo Domingo, to attend college in El Salvador.  The ESSOC Sponsors' Trip to El Salvador is a tailored experience for sponsors and friends of the ESSOC program. Travelers have the opportunity to get to know our young scholars and learn about the rigors of earning a university degree in El Salvador. The trip also deepens relationships that have been formed from abroad. Both students and sponsors have commented this is a transformative experience!

The ESSOC mission trips (usually Tuesday-Sunday) take place in early July and cost $1,700 which includes your airfare, hotel, meals, ground transportation, translators, and programming fee.  The cost does not include incidentals, extra snacks, souvenirs, or tips.  ESSOC director(s) and staff lead these trips.

Relational Mission Trip

These trips (usually Sunday-Friday) are open to all St. Dominic parishioners as we visit our sister parish Santo Domingo and the surrounding communities.  We will visit schools, homes, the clinic, the convent, and see the impact of God's care through our work together.  Trip participants will witness the "House of Bread" distribution, speak with those involved with the college scholarship program (ESSOC), visit "All I want for Christmas" new construction projects, and more!  We will also explore the capitol, San Salvador, to tour the Sacred Sites of the Salvadoran Martyrs.

The cost of the relational mission trips is $1,500 which includes your airfare, hotel, meals, ground transportation, translators, and programming fee.  The cost does not include incidentals, extra snacks, souvenirs, or tips.  Fr. Tom leads these trips.
